So, you may need to adjust the pinned wheel location. The lever only drops a certain amount of degrees during one revolution of the pinned wheel. This all happens in one revolution of the pinned wheel. If too retarded then the lever will go back up and miss it also. If the pin's position is too far advanced, the pin will pass right by the lever that is to stop it. Notice the CONTROL CAM lever as it drops too, controlling (making) opportunity to stop. Take time to examine this process over and over if need be. Then let the fly turn 1 turn at a time to slow down the process so you can see the lever drop and the POSITION of the PIN on the Pinned wheel. When applying pressure making the movement strike, as the Count lever gets close to dropping in the long Countwheel slot, put another finger on the FLY. Notice the half hour strike is just part of the same Countwheel slot of the previous hour (widened) so that the COUNT WHEEL Lever drops after 1 strike. The CONTROL CAM repeatedly creates stop conditions after each strike, the COUNT WHEEL allows the stop to happen using the longer slot to allow the whole levers to drop which contacts the pin. When the lever to it drops in the 1 slotted cam (the CONTROL CAM) and the lever to the COUNT WHEEL drops in it's spot. Notice the next gear past the pinned wheel has a 1 notched cam. You may need to turn the minute hand arbor to activate the strike process. What you do is take the movement in hand and with finger pressure from one hand turn the strike side main wheel (the largest wheel) so that the clock will start striking. What you should do even if you did not disassemble. Maybe sometimes it will and sometimes not. Notice the end of the lever that is suppose to stop it. When re-assembling you have to pay attention to the location of the pin on the pinned wheel when it spins arround after the lever has dropped. It's the next wheel below the fly (the fly is the little square thing that catches the air to slow down the striking). You'll know the pinned wheel when you see it. If so, you have to adjust the pinned wheel so it hits the lever.
